I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, and laying on the beach. Binge watching shows on Hulu and Netflix makes me happy as well.
Some people may say that I’m obsessed with finances. Creating a budget and using a spreadsheet is fun to me. I becoming interesting in finances when I added up the amount of student loan debt that my husband and I had accumulated during college. It was more than I could have ever imagined!
On top of the student loan debt, we now have medical bills. Needless to say, we are on a journey to financial freedom. It may be weird, but I love the feeling of paying bills each month. I know I will enjoy my money more when most of the bills are gone, but for now, I am enjoying the ride.
I work a full-time job as a financial aid counselor, but I don’t plan to do this for the rest of my life. In the future, I plan to teach online classes to help others take control of their finances as well as live in financial freedom.
I’m not sure how or when I will begin my teaching journey, but that is my goal. I don’t think I was made for the 9-5 life. The sooner that I can get out of debt and start my classes, the better.

I’m not very interesting at all! Enough about me, let’s talk about the blog. I started this blog as a way to vent and track my debt free journey, but the tables have turned.
This is now a blog geared towards Millennials (born 1980-2000) that covers a wide variety of personal finance topics. It also represents my personal journey towards financial freedom.
I encourage everyone to leave comments and join in on the conversations. Interacting with everyone is my favorite part of the blog.
